Renewals on CPRL Go!
Our CPRL Go! App is a great way for patrons who want to easily manage their accounts and connect to library services.
Patrons have notified us that they were unable to renew items on their accounts through the app. I wanted to share the following reasons why this could be happening so that you can help your patron if they come to you with concerns.
Items will not renew in the app for the following reasons:
- No renewals left
- No renewals allowed
- Holds on item
The app may not specify a reason the item is not being renewed, but a quick look at the patron’s account should let you know the reason. If you find that items are not being renewed but should be, please report the patron’s barcode and the item to be renewed through the staff report tool.
In troubleshooting this issue, we have learned that some phones/tablets/devices that have low memory can cause errors when trying to use CPRL Go! If patrons are having issues with the app, it is recommended that they uninstall the app, then reinstall it from their device’s Play Store or App Store.
