Join us for an exciting STEAM Night for children and families at the public library! This free community event celebrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity for all ages.
Stations will be set up throughout the library so families can explore, learn, and create together. Activities will include:
· Water Testing with the NC Aquarium – Discover how scientists test water quality and learn about aquatic ecosystems. Advance registration is required for this station.
· Garden Station with Rachel from Harbourside Garden Co. in the Literary Gardens – Get your hands in the soil and learn about plants and growing.
· LEGO Building with Mollie – Use creativity and engineering skills to build and explore.
· Art projects with Ms. Kara – Use creativity and engineering skills to build and explore.
· Science Projects with Diann – Participate in fun experiments that make science come alive.
· Reading in the Children’s Room – Take a break and enjoy stories together.
· Art Demonstration by Broad Strokes Art Gallery – See art and creativity in action.
We’re also excited to have Funnels of Love food truck on site, so you can grab a sweet treat while enjoying the evening!
This FREE night of scientific fun is designed with interactive activities for children and families of all ages.
Please note: A sensory-friendly room will be available during the event in the Luhrs Family Children’s Classroom for anyone who may need a quieter space.
